How AgeChecker.Net ID Scanning Works
1. Prepare a sale
Prepare a sale in your Lightspeed R-Series system as you usually would.
2. Click the "Age Verification" button
Click the "Age Verification" button located directly in your POS system's page to open the ID scanner.
3. Scan Customer's ID
Scan the customer's ID to begin the verification.
4. Retrieve result
See the fast result of the ID scan to make a more informed decision on the customer sale.
How AgeChecker.Net ID Scanning Works
1. Prepare a sale
Prepare a sale in your Lightspeed R-Series system as you usually would.
2. Click the "Age Verification" button
Click the "Age Verification" button located directly in your POS system's page to open the ID scanner.
3. Scan Customer's ID
Scan the customer's ID to begin the verification.
4. Retrieve result
See the fast result of the ID scan to make a more informed decision on the customer sale.
Installing the ID Scanning app
1. App install
In the same browser, login to the Lightspeed R-Series dashboard for the store you want to install AgeChecker.Net ID scanner on.
Return to this page, and click here to install the app.
After installing the app on your Lightspeed R-Series store, you will be prompted to create an AgeChecker.Net account or sign-in to an existing one.
2. Setup "Custom Menu" button
  • Click "Settings" in your Lightspeed R-Series dashboard, and click "Custom Menus" under Advanced Setup.
  • Select "Register: Sale Tab"
  • Set title of new button to "Age Verification", and "Type" to "Open Web Page". Click "Add Button To Menu".
  • Click the pencil icon next to the newly added button, and set URL to https://api.agechecker.net/v1/lightspeed-r/scan-session
  • Press "Save Changes"
3. Done!
AgeChecker.Net's ID Scanning is now available directly on your register page! You can also customize age settings as needed in your AgeChecker dashboard.
